POM is a plastic obtained through the polymerization of formaldehydes. Due to the highly crystallized structure of its oxygen and methylene groups, it ensures high levels of hardness and strength even without adding any additive materials-structures. It resists alkalis and hot water as well as commonly used organic solvents, petroleum products and mineral oils. POM can act as a bearing in environments even without grease.
